Hacker News looks deceptively simple but requires a mature backend (auth, DB, voting/ranking logic, search indexing, and user moderation) that no single prompt can reproduce.
You can rebuild the minimalist HTML interface in an afternoon, but not the 20-year-old network of 2M+ active hackers, founders, and investors who check it daily as their primary discovery feed.
